Hello - and welcome to my “Superintendent’s Page” on the ARRSD Website.  While I’m no longer new to the district, I figured that I should start with a bit of a bio/background on myself: 

First and foremost, I am a husband (going on 22 years) and a father to three (usually) wonderful children.  My oldest daughter, Ava, is 19 years old and attending her freshman year at UMass Amherst.  My son, William, is 17 years old and a junior at Wachusett Regional High School.  My youngest daughter, Zoe, is 13 years old and attends Central Tree Middle School in Rutland, MA - where my family has lived for the past 17 years.

I started my career in education over 25 years ago at Jamaica High School in New York City, where I taught biology, chemistry, and earth science. While there, I also served as a Dean of Students.  I have a bachelor’s of science in health sciences from Boston University and a master’s of science in school administration and supervision from Touro College, in New York City.  For the record - I am not, and have never been a Yankees fan.

I moved to Massachusetts in 2004, right when the Red Sox won the World Series - and I credit my move for the win.    Since then, I have served as an Assistant Principal (at both the middle and high school levels), a Middle School Principal, a Director of Business and Operations for a regional charter program, and the Assistant Superintendent for a regional school district (not too different from ARRSD).  For the last two years, I have been honored with the ability to serve as the Superintendent for the Athol Royalston Regional School District - and I hope to be here until I retire (in about 8 more years).
